Anthony Joshua backs Dillian Whyte against Tyson Fury: 'Rooting for Dillian, even though I hate him'DAZN
The former heavyweight champion backed his stablemate.

Anthony Joshua hopes Tyson Fury loses to Dillian Whyte this weekend, but has no love for the mandatory challenger.

The WBC world heavyweight championship is up for grabs this Saturday as Fury makes his second-ever title defence.

Whyte is the underdog but speaking to IFL TV, former world champion Joshua believes it will be a tough fight for Fury.

“It’s a good [quality] defence against Dillian Whyte,” he said

“Dillian Whyte needs to come in and look at what Tyson Fury does, and reacts to the complete opposite. Maybe work the body and be conditioned to go the distance, but I hope Dillian trains hard and doesn’t underestimate Tyson.

“Because it’s his first time fighting for a title, I think he’ll be hungry. This ain’t his tenth time fighting for a title and he can have a little hiccup along the way – this is his first time fighting for a title.

There is a little bad blood between Whyte and Joshua, with the pair of them clashing over the word ‘hate’ recently, and Joshua joked that he was still set against the challenger.

“I’m rooting for Dillian, even though I hate him and I wanna smash him one of these days. Go on Dillian, I’m with you all the way.”
