Anthony Joshua’s next move after stopping Francis Ngannou is still unconfirmed but one fighter ready to face him is Martin Bakole.
One of the division's leading contenders, Bakole is eager for a major fight, and he’s challenged Joshua to take him on with Africa hosting the event.
Last year, Bakole scored a huge win when he stopped Carlos Takam in Saudi Arabia, and that result was intended to be the platform to push on for bigger showdowns.
Bakole is well known to carry himself well when sparring the best in the division, but can he transfer that form into a real fight?
He’s ready to prove that against Joshua.
“If you want to fight in the Congo, in Nigeria, in Africa, you should fight me, not Ngannou,” said Bakole when speaking to IFLTV.
“Much respect to Ngannou, but this I need to make clear, Anthony Joshua, come and fight an African giant in boxing, Martin Bakole.”
