Anthony Joshua is often seen at press conferences and other public events wearing a single AirPod, but on Wednesday he finally revealed what he's been listening to.
Joshua's single AirPod has become something of a meme in the boxing community, and in the run-up to Friday's massive "Knockout Chaos" card, which will see "AJ" face Francis Ngannou live on DAZN, the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion was spotted again sporting the earpiece.
Ngannou had some fun with the mystery surrounding Joshua's ubiquitous ear wear, posting on Instagram on Tuesday that he had "found" his opponent's other AirPod and unveiled AJ's supposed playlist, which included motivational speeches and the Joe Rogan podcast episode that featured Ngannou as a guest, among other things.
Joshua was again seen wearing the AirPod during Wednesday's pre-fight press conference, and when Ngannou jokingly put in the "other" earpiece AJ addressed the fascination with the tiny piece of technology.
Putting his phone up to the microphone so that everyone in attendance could hear, the 34-year-old revealed that it was, in fact, just music that he's been listening to all along.
"Just music, music, music," Joshua said with a laugh. "I don't know why there's a big conspiracy of what I listen to on my AirPod. I don't know what the big deal is."
