A mega fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder is looking very unlikely at this current moment in time.
Joshua, who appeared to be on a collision course with the American, has his sights set on IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois with the two going head-to-head at Wembley Stadium on September 21 live on DAZN.
Wilder meanwhile could be on the brink of retirement. The former WBC heavyweight champion has failed to re-assert himself as a major force in the division following back-to-back losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, with some now calling for "The Bronze Bomber" to retire.
However, while Joshua is currently focusing on Dubois and potentially facing the winner of the rematch between unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, he has not ruled out facing Wilder in the distant future.
"The fight can still happen," Joshua told DAZN.
"It’s not a big deal for me, it is what it is, I get paid to fight, I used to fight for free.
"Strip away the bright lights and the trash talk, it’s only a fight so yeah, I’d fight Wilder."
Joshua's world title clash with Dubois headlines an impressive card in London which also features former world champions Josh Warrington and Liam Smith who face IBF super featherweight champin Anthony Cacace and Josh Kelly respectively.
