Anthony Joshua is no stranger to ending fights before the final bell and he expects to do the same when he faces Jermaine Franklin this Saturday night.
Joshua makes his return the ring this weekend, exclusively live on DAZN, and the Watford man is intent on reminding people that he still has a major part to play in the heavyweight title picture.
The 2012 Olympic gold medallist is on a mission to reclaim his heavyweight crown after losing his titles to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021.
An immediate rematch the following year saw Joshua lose a split decision but he’s now ready to rebuild and work his way back to the top.
That quest starts with Jermaine Franklin and although Joshua admits his next opponent is ‘tough,’ he’s still confident enough to predict the round he will get the job done.
“I’ve never made that reference that ‘I’m going to make a statement,’” said Joshua when speaking to Talksport.
“With Jermaine, if I’m honest I think round 10. He’s a tough old cookie.”
