Anthony Joshua will be a keen observer when Tyson Fury faces Deontay Wilder this summer.

Anthony Joshua has made his prediction for next month’s heavyweight fight featuring his great rivals, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. The latter’s WBC belt will be on the line as Wilder and Fury meet for a third time and Joshua is backing his countryman to get the job done again.

Their first meeting in December 2018 was scored a draw despite Fury rising from the canvas in the last session. 14 months later, Fury displayed his dominance with an emphatic seventh round stoppage.

Many believed that closed the door on the rivalry, but Wilder has took advantage of a rematch clause and they do battle again on July 24th.

“Fury won the last one so I’ll go with Fury because you’re only as good as your last performance. Good luck to them both.” said Joshua to Talksport

With Joshua’s next fight likely to be against WBO mandatory challenger, Oleksandr Usyk, in autumn, preparations will take place in Sheffield alongside Team GB as they prepare for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics.

"I've got to defend my title. I'm going to be training alongside the team preparing for my championship fight while these guys prepare for the Olympics," Joshua said.

'I'm going to win because I have to. I've got no other option and then I'm going to get on to the next fight which is the undisputed.

“So, we're back on the road to undisputed. I'm supporting the Olympic boys and then when they finish with a bang hopefully the next fight I have will be an undisputed fight so there will be so many eyes on the boxing scene in 2021 and 2022."
