He was there for the NFL.

Anthony Joshua entertained the crowd at Wembley, but this time it wasn’t with a performance in the ring.

Joshua, a two-time world champion, has previously fought at Wembley against Alexander Povetkin and Wladimir Klitschko, winning both.

But this time, he was there to watch the Atlanta Falcons face the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL as the franchise played its first game of the season in the UK.

Matches will be held across Europe this season, and fans can watch all the action live on NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excluding the US and China).

The British fighter was able to try out his arm with an American football, throwing it into the crowd, and was given a personalised Jaguars jersey.

Joshua is currently training with Tyson Fury’s former coach, Ben Davison, as he prepares for his as yet undecided next fight.

His most recent clash was against late replacement Robert Helenius, his second win of 2023 after defeating Jermaine Franklin.

There continues to be speculation that he will meet Deontay Wilder, but it is far from certain that any fight with the American would be part of a Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk double bill in Saudi Arabia.
