Anthony Joshua: There is no strategy except to win against Oleksandr UsykDAZN
The three-belt champion is determined to defend successfully against Oleksandr Usyk.

Anthony Joshua does not care how the win comes against Oleksandr Usyk and has prepared for different paths to victory.

Joshua and Usyk face one another on September 25 with the 31-year-old Briton’s IBF, WBA and WBO belts on the line at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There has been plenty of discussion about Joshua’s height and assumed strength advantage over Usyk, who is four inches shorter than 6’6” Joshua.

At a press event where both fighters appeared, Joshua was asked when he had slimmed down in order to combat Usyk’s speed, and he said to Sky Sports: "Why do people think that?

"I'm in there with the ultimate aim of winning. My goal is to either hurt you or beat you until I get the win.

"Whether it's the right hand, the uppercut or the jab? As long as it leads to a win. I could box on the front foot or the back foot. There is no real strategy except for winning."

Joshua gave details of his preparation, saying: "No pads. Heavy bag work and a lot of sparring. But not really the mitts.

"Old school Rocky Marciano style."

Joshua continued: "I'm physically conditioned and mentally conditioned. I should be fine.

"It's a big occasion, big pressure.

"I feel like I've got nothing else if I don't get this win.

"It's not the end of the road but it's the start of a new chapter."
