Dubois and Joshua could run it back in 2025.

Francis Ngannou made an emphatic return to MMA this weekend when he scored an impressive first round win against Renan Ferreira.

Following a brief spell in boxing where he fought Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, Ngannou is now back in a familiar surrounding where he continues to look great.

Despite his extensive MMA background, Ngannou is still keeping his focus on boxing after his time facing the sport’s best fighters and a return to the ring hasn’t been ruled out.

After facing Fury and Joshua, Ngannou is fully aware of how the business end of boxing looks, so there's a chance he could be better prepared next time.

After beating Ngannou, Joshua ran into trouble in his next fight when he was dropped four times before being stopped by Daniel Dubois last month.

The hard-hitting pair have been linked to an immediate rematch and Ngannou has been speaking about the potential contest.

“If you know the sport you know that everything can happen in the heavyweight division. So, I wasn’t surprised,” said Ngannou when speaking to Sky Sports

“I didn’t expect that outcome, but still wasn’t surprised. Everybody knows that Dubois has the knockout power. I don’t know. It could be the same way. Nobody knows. It can go either way.”
