Will the big heavyweight sequel take place?

Jack Catterall is currently getting ready for one of the biggest fights of the year when he faces Regis Prograis this weekend, live on DAZN.

The fascinating battle is one of the best contests that can be made at 140lbs, but Catterall has recently took time to discuss another huge name in the sport.

Earlier this year, Anthony Joshua was sensationally stopped by Daniel Dubois in a brilliant heavyweight battle at Wembley Stadium.

The fight was one of the biggest shocks of 2024 but talk within the boxing community is that Joshua is ready to jump into the ring with Dubois for a second time.

The former two-time world champion has been linked to multiple fights including a showdown with Tyson Fury, but it appears Dubois is the likely next bout.

Catterall, who’s been in the gym ahead of his showdown with Prograis, has offered his opinion on the sequel, and he thinks the result could be the same.

“If you base it off the first fight, you would have to say it will be the same scenario,” said Catterall when speaking to OLBG

“Daniel Dubois is coming of age and is looking better and better after each performance and is growing in confidence inside and outside the ring.

“From what I have seen, Anthony Joshua will take the rematch but there are different fights out there for AJ, but he has that champion mindset and wants to come back and win his world title back, but the fight goes down the same way the second time round.”
