David Haye doesn’t believe Daniel Dubois can be successful against Anthony Joshua if his defence hasn’t improved.
The heavyweight pair clash this weekend, live on DAZN, and Haye, a former world champion amongst boxing's big men, is the latest high profile fight figure to have his say.
Dubois will defend his recently acquired IBF belt against his fellow Brit, and he enters the bout following a tough encounter against Filip Hrgovic earlier this year.
Dubois was able to stop the stubborn Croat, but he endured several big shots in the fight’s early stages which has created some doubt for Haye when making his pick.
“If the version of Daniel Dubois who fought Filip Hrgovic turns up against AJ on Saturday who was eating right hands all night, I think he’ll have a really tough time,” said Haye when speaking to Simon Jordan on the William Hill Up Front podcast.
“He’s got a great chin though, no one can question that.”
