Dave Allen shared the ring with many elite fighters when sparring in preparation for his own fights during his climb up the rankings.
Two of those boxers were Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, and those two meet this weekend, live on DAZN, with Dubois defending his IBF heavyweight crown.
The contest is set to be one of the biggest events of 2024 with close to 100,000 people expected inside Wembley Stadium.
The fight has got the entire boxing community talking and Allen, who’s shared the ring with the likes of Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz, is the latest to have his say.
“Dubois’s jab is one of the hardest single punchers I’ve ever been hit by,” said Allen when speaking on his own YouTube channel.
“Dubois hits the harder, but Joshua is much faster, more fluid in combination. From personal experience Dubois was the much heavier puncher, but Joshua was sharper.”
