Francis Ngannou won the respect of sporting fans everywhere on Saturday night following his heroic performance against Tyson Fury despite losing the bout.
Ngannou impressed on his boxing debut as he dropped the world’s best heavyweight and pushed him all the way to the final bell in what was a very close fight.
Attention has now switched to what Ngannou will do next and one name he could face at some point is Anthony Joshua.
The British heavyweight’s next move is still unconfirmed and a fight with Ngannou would do huge business. David Price, a former contender at heavyweight, has had his say on how a Joshua vs. Ngannou fight would go.
“I think Anthony Joshua would knock him out. I think he would. Styles make fights,” said Price when speaking to Boxing News.
“He has the benefit of having seen Ngannou in the ring with Tyson Fury so knows what to expect and knows how to take it seriously so knows what the upside would be of knocking him out.
“Tyson Fury had everything to lose and nothing to gain last night and he did lose everything in a way.”
