Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin: Dmitriy Salita explains how Wallin can beat former world championDAZN
The pair meet on December 23 in Saudi Arabia.

Otto Wallin's promoter Dmitriy Salita has explained how his fighter can produce a major upset on December 23.

Wallin will take on former world champion Anthony Joshua on that date in the main event of the "Day of Reckoning" card in Saudi Arabia which will be broadcast across the world on DAZN PPV

Joshua comes into this bout on the back of wins over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, but Wallin will pose a tougher test with his southpaw stance potentially being a problem for the former world champion.

Speaking OLBG, Salita explained how Wallin can give himself the best chance of beating the British star.

"I believe Anthony Joshua is an intelligent and smart guy and his boxing IQ is very high, and he is very knowledgeable in the sport and in the ring for when it’s happening in front of him," Salita said.

"Otto’s keys to victory are to keep a high pace and not allow Anthony to take breaks and offset him from landing power punches. Otto sometimes can rest and lay on the ropes and measure guys, but I don’t think that’s the best strategy for Otto.

"A lot of great fighters take the first round to take in data, the speed, the footwork and it’s like a high functioning computer and then you process in the minute between rounds and the next round you see elite fighters a lot different in the second round compared to the first so I think both fighters will be aggressively careful in the first round."

Salita then went onto emphasise how important this fight is for both men as they look to stay at the top of the heavyweight division.

"There’s a lot riding on the fight for both. Anthony Joshua wants to fight Deontay Wilder but if Otto wins, he will slide in and establish himself as a true elite heavyweight."
