Anthony Joshua faces Otto Wallin later this month knowing that only victory will help him secure a major fight in 2024.
Joshua meets the Swede on December 23, live on DAZN PPV, and with Deontay Wilder also in action on the bill against Joseph Parker, wins for Joshua and Wilder is likely to mean that they meet next year.
Joshua heads into the bout on the back of two straightforward wins against Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, but Wallin enters the contest in excellent form after defeating Murat Gassiev earlier this year.
Johnny Nelson, a former world champion at cruiserweight, has offered his thoughts on the fight
“I’m looking forward to Anthony Joshua. I think he gets rid of his opponent,” said Nelson when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans.
Can Joshua do as Nelson expects and stop Wallin? If so, the result could be the platform for one of the biggest fights of his career.
