Todd DuBoef is hopeful Artur Beterbiev can make a faster start when he collides with Dmitry Bivol for a second time next month.

The pair are set to do battle in an immediate just four months on from their classic encounter in October when Beterbiev took the verdict.

In the original bout, Bivol made a decent start, but he was unable to maintain that in the second half of the fight as Beterbiev came in strong in the later rounds.

Despite being determined the winner, Beterbiev had to face some scrutiny from the boxing community with some believing that Bivol should have been the fighter who had his hand raised.

All that matters is the final result, and although Beterbiev’s 100% stoppage record came to an end against Bivol, the Top Rank President is confident he can restart on Feb 22, live on DAZN

"He's never had a decision other than the last fight, I think he goes for it every time," said DuBoef when speaking to Sky Sports

"I felt that his ring generalship and domination, putting the pressure and making the fight happen, was a resounding win for him. And I felt that you could see the body language of Bivol late in the fight as that pressure kept coming and coming.

"The question is, does Artur start that earlier? Can he start that in round one? I think it started maybe more in three or four, where he really started to come on. But start that in round one.

"I think if that fight went two more rounds, I don't think Bivol was getting out of the ring. Maybe he learned from that, and we'll see."
