Teddy Atlas has gone against the typical predictions for Artur Beterbiev’s upcoming clash with Dmitry Bivol.
The pair collide on October 12, live on DAZN , and the victor will be crowned undisputed light-heavyweight champion.
Both men head into the fight unbeaten and in excellent form, but the pair have reached this position demonstrating different styles that has always ensured them victory.
Bivol, the WBA champion, has climbed to the business end of the 175lbs division using his boxing skills to outpoint a number of top contenders including a 2022 win against Canelo Alvarez.
Beterbiev, who possesses the other three belts in his weight class, comes into the contest as the owner of a flawless 20-0 record that includes 20 stoppages.
With both men looking to emulate Roy Jones Jr, the last undisputed light-heavyweight champion all the way back in 1999, sticking to their preferred method of attack will be key.

Atlas, the former trainer of Mike Tyson, has long been one of boxing's most respected voices, and although it’s Beterbiev who has all the power, Atlas believes it will be Bivol who claims the stoppage.
“He’s slowing down. He’s cutting up easier. He’s 38 years old with 300 amateur fights. A lot of tough fights in the pros. He’s ageing, nobody beats Father Time,” said Atlas when speaking on his The Fight podcast .
“I never will rule out Beterbiev, he’s got power, he’s got character and pride, but, yeah, I got Bivol a solid favourite.
“I think there’s a good chance he stops him late in the fight, either by cuts or by just an endless barrage of punches. Beterbiev is not a defensive wizard, where the referee would probably have to stop it, or his corner would have to stop it.”
