Bob Arum gives Zhilei Zhang major incentive and it's not a shot at Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk

Zhilei Zhang could get a Chinese homecoming fight if he gets past Joseph Parker this Friday night on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou.  

Zhang is aiming to build on two impressive wins over Joe Joyce and victory over Parker could pave the way for a world title shot in the future. 

The WBO number contender has not fought in China since defeating Don Haynesworth in 2018, but Bob Arum has insisted there are plans for him to return home.  

Zhang's impressive exploits in the heavyweight division have enabled him to build momentum and he’s likely to be given a hero's welcome if he fights in his homeland again. 

“The plan is to have him fight in Macau,” said Arum when speaking to BoxingScene.  

“A good fight; it’ll be against a top-10 guy.”
