One ex-fighter shared the ring with big names.

Malik Scott has recently grabbed the headlines after it was revealed the former fighter is now in a relationship with TV presenter Kate Abdo.

On a recent Champions League show when Abdo was presenting, Jamie Carragher made an unwelcome joke about Abdo not being loyal to Scott, and it was hinted the following day that Carragher had apologised for the remark.

The incident prompted a stern response from Scott, but it does now appear that the matter has been resolved.

Scott, the trainer of Deontay Wilder, enjoyed a decent career and was a contender for a lengthy period at heavyweight as he looked to compete at the highest level.

Turning pro in 2000, Scott put together a 35-fight winning streak before being held to a draw by Vyacheslav Glazkov in 2012.

The following year, Scott endured his first loss as he was stopped by Derek Chisora at Wembley Arena when trying to win the WBO International title.

In 2014, in his most high-profile bout, Scott was stopped in the opening round by Wilder.

He would bounce back with two wins, but he walked away from boxing in 2016 after losing on points to Luis Ortiz.
