Having his first fight in over a year after suffering an horrific ankle injury against Darragh Foley, Davies Jr showed no sign of ring rust as he set a fast tempo.
Lipinets was hurt on multiple occasions, but he was able to serve up some punishment of his own with Davies Jr hurting the canvas on three separate occasions.
Lipinets will hoping the bout can lead to further opportunities at a higher level, and for Davies Jr, his showing will not have gone unnoticed.
If bigger fights can’t be secured for either man, then a rematch with bigger stakes involved could be one option.
