Frazer Clarke intends to get under Fabio Wardley’s skin ahead of their British heavyweight title clash and he used football rivalry in his latest attempt.
Wardley is a huge Ipswich Town supporter and when the pair came face to face at Portman Road earlier this week to hype their fight on March 31st, Clarke was sporting the jersey of Ipswich’s biggest rivals, Norwich City.
Clarke, who is a Manchester United supporter, is using the same tactic as Floyd Mayweather when he was getting ready to face Ricky Hatton in 2007.
With Hatton being a big Manchester City fan, Mayweather would attend press conferences wearing the kit of United as he looked to irk his British rival.
Wardley didn't appear to be bothered by Clarke’s stunt, but will he make him pay for it when they clash on Easter Sunday?
British heavyweight bragging rights will be on the line and the winner can be elevated to world level for bigger opportunities in 2024.
