Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant has called for a fight with Jermall Charlo with a challenge issued to the fighter directly on Twitter.
Plant lost to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez back in November when the Mexican completed his pursuit of becoming the undisputed champion at 168lbs.
Charlo is the WBC middleweight champion who fought once last year, against Juan Macias Montiel, and has reportedly been interested in a move up to super middleweight.
"You have been indirect Charlo, so I'll be straight forward. We can figure it out before the end of the year. You are easy work," Plant tweeted.
With Canelo supposedly keen to retain his titles but planning to fight cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu in May, and possibly then move back to light heavyweight, the belts at 168lbs could soon become available again.
