By now, you have probably seen the footage of Caleb Plant smacking the fire out of Jermall Charlo backstage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at the Terence Crawford-Errol Spence Jr. weigh-in on July 28.
Since then, Plant has explained that he felt disrespected by Charlo and repeatedly warned him not to touch his beard, with slapping him being the only resort.
Now, Plant wants to take it a step further.
Appearing on the "I AM ATHLETE" podcast, the former super middleweight world champion made it clear that he wants to fight Charlo next.
"That's what I'd like," Plant said when asked about fighting Charlo. "I've let my management know what I want and that's what I want. I'm saying it here live.
"That's what I want but you can't force anyone to get in there and fight. He's got whatever he's got going on."
Plant added: "But I'm free at the end of the year. That's what I want to do, but it takes two to tango."
Jermall Charlo is currently the WBC world middleweight champion but Plant pinpointed that Charlo intends to move up to 168 pounds, where the two could fight.
