Boxing's pound-for-pound list is usually just the thing to spark heated debate amongst sweet science fans.

Though when reporter Dan Canobbio asked Canelo Alvarez on Tuesday for his top fighters in boxing skill-wise, the living legend didn't hesitate rattling off names.

"I think [Naoya] Inoue, [Terence] Crawford, Gervonta [Davis]," Alvarez said. "It's a lot of fighters. I don't want to be disrespectful with other fighters and not mention them because it's a lot of good fighters out there."

Still, that's a pretty solid three, considering all three boxers are undefeated.

Inoue (25-0, 22 KOs) and Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) dazzled in their respective unifying world championship fights late last month.

On July 25 in Tokyo, Inoue moved up in weight but still looked like "The Monster" in recording a scintillating eighth-round TKO of Stephen Fulton to become the new unified junior featherweight world champ.

Four days later in Las Vegas, Crawford brilliantly knocked Errol Spence Jr. down three times before handing "The Truth" his first pro loss via a ninth-round TKO to become the undisputed welterweight world champion. With the victory, Crawford joined Claressa Shields as the only fighters in boxing history to reach undisputed glory in two different weight divisions.

As for "Tank" Davis (29-0, 27 KOs), he blasted Ryan Garcia with a seventh-round KO in April.

Naturally, Jermell Charlo will look to bulldoze his way into lists of top-tier boxers September 30, when he moves up two weight classes to challenge for Alvarez's undisputed super middleweight championship in Las Vegas.
