Shane Mosley Jr believes that the youth of David Benavidez could be enough to combat the experience of Canelo Alvarez.
The Arizona fighter is eager to test himself against Canelo, but a deal for a fight is nowhere close to being made.
Mosley Jr, who recently defeated former world champion, Daniel Jacobs, is hopeful he can secure further big fights at 168lbs.
Canelo is the division ruler as things stand and Mosley has been speaking about a potential fight between the Mexican and one of his biggest rivals.
“I think it’s a great fight. I would love to see it happen. I don’t think it necessarily needs to happen, but I would love to see it happen,” said Mosley Jr when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans about Canelo vs. Benavidez.
“I think David Benavidez might be a little bit too young, as far as I think he would have the advantage because of the youth.”
