"Bud" didn't pull any punches with this one.

Over the past several months, there has been plenty of buzz about a possible dream bout between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.

However, for that super fight to even be a remote possibility, Crawford will have to handle his business against WBA junior middleweight world champion Israil Madrimov on August 3, live on DAZN. In addition, Alvarez will have to defeat Edgar Berlanga to defend his unified super middleweight crown on September 14, live on DAZN.

While Crawford is laser-focused on adding to his boxing legacy this weekend, that didn't stop "Bud" from giving his thoughts on Alvarez vs. Berlanga.

"I think [Alvarez] stops Berlanga," Crawford offered during a recent interview with "The Stomping Ground."

"I think Berlanga is head over heels with this fight," he continued. "I think Berlanga can be a great champion someday. I just think, right now, Canelo is just too much for him."

If Crawford gets past Madrimov and Alvarez disposes of Berlanga, then at that point the former will continue his charge toward making the super bout happen — moving up from 154 pounds to 168 pounds to lock it in.

And if it does all line up, Crawford has the utmost confidence in his authority over the sweet science.

"Skills pay the bills," Crawford said about his believed edge over Alvarez, "and I got the skills to pay 'em."
