Seventeen-year-old fighter Curmel Moton promises to steal the show tonight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
A Floyd Mayweather protégé and 18-time national boxing champion, Moton will face his first professional challenge and he will do it in a big way, on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo bill.
With a six-round bout against undefeated Ezequiel Flores, Moton will be looking for his first pro win after amassing an amateur record of over 135 victories.
Curmel is nicknamed "Big Deal" and was born in Salt Lake City, but moved to Las Vegas at a very young age where he caught the attention of today's boxing stars for his qualities in the ring. Those stars include Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta Davis.
One of his great virtues is his mobility in the ring, as well as his speed. He has solid defense with a high effectiveness of connecting.
Floyd himself referred to the future of this young man. Considering that he has great boxers like Gervonta Davis in his promotion: "We don't know who the next Floyd Mayweather will be. But I really think this could be the next Floyd Mayweather," he said.
