Canelo, the local favourite and looking to enhance his dominance at his current weight class was a tad lighter at 167.5lbs.
Following the weigh in, both men participated in a lengthy stare-down that highlighted the focus possessed by both men.
After looking into each other's eyes, both fighters gave a nod to their supporters before making their way ack to their respective teams.
