Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder
“It’s a fight I’ve wanted to see for a very long time and that doesn’t change because they both suffered defeats in their last fights. Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder can’t be anything but explosive. Both have power and they can both be hurt. I think it would be one of the best heavyweight shootouts going and would do anything to be ringside for it.”
Oleksandr Usyk vs. Canelo Alvarez
“It’s a fight that’s unlikely but I know that Oleksandr Usyk would be tempted to go back to cruiserweight if it meant he could face Canelo Alvarez. The two best boxers in the sport would put on a proper clinic but it’s likely to be a step too far for Canelo. He’d fancy the job but against Usyk, you’re going in with a very special fighter who might just be too big and too good.”
Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence
“Another year starts and we’re still asking to see Terence Crawford take on Errol Spence. If it doesn’t happen in 2022 then you’ll probably start having to think it never will. Two outstanding fighters and the world badly needs to see who’s the best. Hopefully, they finally agree on it.”
Artur Beterbiev vs. Callum Smith
“There’s a lot going on at 175lbs and I could think of several great fights, but I’d like to see Callum Smith make a big impact in the division. The way to do that is by taking on Artur Beterbiev. Callum was a top fighter at super-middleweight, but it always felt like his career would see him move up. Him against Beterbiev can see him become the man at light-heavyweight.”
Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Gervonta Davis
“A big one at lightweight and one that could make Gervonta Davis the biggest name in boxing if he were to beat Vasiliy Lomachenko. There’d be a lot of obstacles to overcome getting this fight over the line but if this fight gets made in 2022, then you’d be seeing a battle for the ages. I like both fighters a lot but so much would be at stake between Lomachenko and ‘Tank.’”
