Terence Crawford recently expressed a change of heart in saying that he would be willing to move up three weight classes all the way to 168 pounds to challenge for Canelo Alvarez's undisputed super middleweight championship.

But one respected trainer thinks that move wouldn't be wise for the undisputed world welterweight champ.

"Weight is a key factor in boxing. It means something. As great as Terence is, I would not want to see him fight at 168," Andre Rozier, who trains former world champions Daniel Jacobs and Richard Commey, told FightHype.com.

"Canelo — his phsycial anatomy is geared for that weight. He's strong there, he's tenacious there, he's fast there, he could punch there, he's never been off his feet.

"I don't like it (for Crawford)."

Furthermore, Rozier thinks that daring to be great should come with heavier introspection and limits.

"After a while, you have to say, 'You know what? I'm already great. Why do I have to challenge greatness even more?'" he added.

In addition, Rozier believes that Crawford has plenty of quality work left at welterweight, 154 pounds and "even at 160 if he can carry it.

"I don't want to see him going to places he need not go just because people have talked him up to doing it. I think that it would be detrimental to what Terence is trying to do as a future Hall of Famer."

While Rozier understands going forward with the 21-pound gain to secure the big money that would come with fighting Alvarez, he left "Bud" with one last warning:

"There's going to be something that you lose in the transition. You just can't jump up there and think 'Oh, I'm OK here.'"
