Carl Froch is no stranger providing harsh assessments on the fighters of today, and Tommy Fury is the latest boxer to feel the wrath of ‘The Cobra.’
The former super-middleweight world champion made a name for himself when active as one of boxing’s most entertaining fighters and the fighting talk hasn’t left him despite being retired for nearly a decade.
A keen observer of the sport through numerous punditry gigs and his very own podcast, Froch is well aware of what’s going on in boxing.
With Fury now one of the sport’s most popular names, his profile far outweighs his talent so far in his novice career and Froch didn’t hold back when providing his thoughts on Fury.
“Even though I’ve been retired for nine years, I still keep myself in shape and Tommy Fury would be absolutely smashed to bits by ‘The Cobra,’” said Froch when speaking to Betfred.
“He wouldn’t be able to step into my boots because he’s a performing clown, not a professional fighter. He’s having a go and fair play to him, he’s taking punches, but he’s a white-collar level fighter”
