Carl Froch believes there is only one winner if Chris Eubank Jr. and Gennadiy Golovkin were to meet in the ring.
Eubank Jr. breathed new life into his career earlier this month when he stopped Liam Smith in the tenth round of their rematch in Manchester, and now he is eyeing some of the biggest names at middleweight for his next fight.
One of those is Golovkin, a fighter which Eubank Jr. has frequently expressed his desire to face.
However, if the two were to meet, Froch claims that it could be an early night for the 33-year-old Brit.
“I don’t think [Eubank] does [win], no," Froch said on his YouTube channel when discussing the fight.
"The last things to go is a boxer’s power, but he’s that well-schooled that even an old, past his best, reflexes gone a little bit [Golovkin] lands a shot on Eubank Jr and I think it’s fight over.
"So no, I don’t think he beats Triple G if I’m honest.”
Golovkin is yet to fight in 2023 after losing to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in their trilogy match-up last year.
