Conor McGregor could be Jake Paul’s ideal opponent, according to the YouTuber’s trainer, BJ Flores.
McGregor commented on Paul vs. Tyron Woodley two weekends ago, and the 24-year-old American has been attempting to antagonise the Irish UFC fighter for some time, amongst his myriad internet targets.
McGregor is undergoing rehab after a serious leg break suffered against Dustin Poirier, and he has had to have surgery on the injury. That makes any fight likely to be months away, with 2022 more likely than the current year.
Speaking to The Mirror, Flores was open to the possibility.
"I'd like Conor," Flores said when asked who he would like as Paul’s next opponent..
"He needs a win right? You think Jake's an easy win, here we are, bro!
"I'm looking at it from the flip side, but we're ready for that any time, so we'll see."
"I think Tyron's a tougher fight than Conor in the boxing ring. I really do.
"There's a lot of good guys out there that Jake could fight but the profile has to be right for Jake."
