Daniel Dubois delivered a crushing defeat to Joe Cusomano as he made his American debut on Sunday night.
The British heavyweight was fighting on the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley undercard in Cleveland on Sunday night, and he sent his opponent to the canvas three times in the first round.
Cusumano landed a punch early in the first and only round, prompting the 23-year-old Londoner to send a flurry of rights in return to knock his rival, 10 years his senior, to the floor.
It was not long before Dubois unleashed a barrage of further blows to return Cusumano to observing the world from a horizontal perspective, and the referee elected to allow him another chance.
Dubois, in his second fight after a disappointing defeat to Joe Joyce last year as a result of a broken eye socket, then clattered the side of Cusumano’s skull, ending the fight, moving onto a 16-1 (16 KOs) record.
