Daniel Dubois tells former world champion to 'bring it on'

Daniel Dubois tells former world champion to 'bring it on'DAZN
The IBF interim champion is looking to get back into the ring already.

Daniel Dubois said he was ready to get into the ring with Anthony Joshua.

Dubois stopped Filip Hrgovic in an impressive night for Queensberry in their 5 vs. 5 event with Matchroom, and the clash had been designated an IBF interim heavyweight match-up.

The Briton emerged victorious, and there had been speculation that the winner of the tie would move on to fight the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, or perhaps put their belt on the line against Joshua.

Joshua is a two-time world champion and is hoping to manage a third time. Winning the mandatory belt from Dubois would give him a path towards that feat, but Joshua vs. Dubois would be a huge British fight in its own right.

Speaking to DAZN after his win, Dubois said he would be happy to take on Joshua.

"I've heard the next opponent will be AJ, so bring it on," Dubois said. "I'm anxious to become the best, this is my era and my time.

"The round before the last, I was getting to him. It was just coming together like magic," said Dubois, who admitted he had taken time to warm up.

"It's all a learning experience. I've come from rock bottom last year and now we're back on top."
