Darren Barker makes prediction for Deontay Wilder vs. Andy Ruiz Jr. clashDAZN

Andy Ruiz Jr. made an impressive return to the world stage on Sunday night after dropping Luis Ortiz three times at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The former world heavyweight champion went onto win the contest on points and now a future fight with Deontay Wilder could be on the horizon.

Wilder laces up the gloves for the first time in over year when he takes on Robert Helenius next month in a WBC world heavyweight title eliminator. The winner of this particular bout is likely to go on and face Ruiz, and in the eyes of former world middleweight champion and DAZN Boxing analyst Darren Barker, Ruiz has a chance of overcoming "The Bronze Bomber", but can only see one clear winner.

"Ruiz can match, if not better, Wilder with hand speed," Barker told DAZN

"I fancy Wilder in that contest, I just feel like the lack of speedy footwork for Ruiz would be tough for him.

"We’ve seen that Wilder really launches in, he can mount an attack, I just think he would have Ruiz under the cosh.

"We’ve seen Ruiz dropped by Joshua, I think Wilder probably edges it, I’d love to see it."
