David Benavidez explains how he would beat pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford

Light heavyweight David Benavidez has revealed what tactics he would intend to use if he was ever to face Terence Crawford.

Benavidez is in action this weekend when he faces David Morrell in a bad-blooded light heavyweight contest live on Amazon Prime PPV

One name which continues to follow Benavidez is Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez after the two had been frequently linked to clash. However, with Alvarez demanding a sizeable purse in order to make this bout a reality, the pair have gone their separate ways.

Instead, Alvarez is now supposedly set to face Terence Crawford later this year in a showdown which pits two of this generation's best fighters against each other.

But how would Benavidez tackle Crawford if the two met inside the squared circle, the American discussed his tactics in front of the world's media on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

"To be honest with you, if I fought Terence Crawford, I would definitely use my size, my reach to my advantage," Benavidez said.

"Crawford is a very smart fighter, but I guess thankfully I’m not fighting him."
