Demetrius Andrade has claimed that his clash with David Benavidez on Saturday night is the biggest fight in the super middleweight division.
After five years as the WBO world middleweight champion, Andrade made his 168lb debut in January with a unanimous decision win against Demond Nicholson.
Now his second fight at the weight will see the 35-year-old face David Benavidez who is considered to be one of the best fighters at super middleweight.
The winner of this weekend's fight in Las Vegas will likely get a chance to take on the undisputed super middleweight champion, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, at some point in 2024.
However, Andrade believes that a Canelo fight involving himself or Benavidez is not the biggest in the division.
"Me and David Benavidez is a greater fight than Canelo and Demitrius, Canelo and Benavidez," Andrade told The DAZN Boxing Show.
"This is a real fight with two guys that have nowhere to go, have nothing but to prove to themselves and boxing who is really the best."
