One heavyweight is finding fights hard to come by.

Billy Nelson has long sung the praises of his heavyweight contender, Martin Bakole, and he’s now revealed the fighters who wouldn't fight the Congolese star.

Bakole is currently on an excellent run of results, and he’s climbed the rankings in recent years thanks to dominant wins over the likes of Tony Yoka and Carlos Takam.

With Bakole now very much in the mix for a big opportunity at heavyweight, Nelson is hopeful that his fighter can fulfil his potential.

Bakole has long been seeking a fight against some of the best names possible and his Scottish trainer has now gone into detail over the fighters who rejected the chance to face Bakole.

“You’ve got Frank Sanchez who beat Junior Fa, both said no to Martin, so did Miller, so did Wilder,” said Nelson when speaking to IFLTV

“Martin Bakole got offered four fights and we said aye to the lot of them and supposedly, apart from Wilder cause Joe was always the number one guy to fight him, the other three said no.”
