He sees the clash happening in 2024.

Deontay Wilder believes that his proposed fight in March with Anthony Joshua is the “biggest fight in boxing.”

Wilder fights this Saturday against Joseph Parker, while Joshua faces Otto Wallin in the other main event at Day of Reckoning in Saudi Arabia, shown live on DAZN PPV.

Wilder is the former WBC champion and Joshua is a two-time unified champion at heavyweight, and should they win their respective match-ups they would be expected to meet in the ring in 2024.

The winner of that clash could well be in pole position for a title fight against the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury, who are due to decide the undisputed heavyweight title in early 2024.

Speaking to Instant Casino, Wilder believes that the opportunity afforded by any fight with Joshua makes it the biggest going in the sport.

He explained: “We have some big plans moving forward. I know a lot of people are anticipating the biggest fight in world boxing between me and Anthony Joshua. That could be on the line in this fight. That's the biggest thing of all on the line.

“Because I want to go into that with a win and I also want him to come into this fight with a win."
