Deontay Wilder will represent Eddie Hearn on June 1 when he captains the Matchroom team in their 5 vs. 5 battle against Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.
Wilder will take on Zhilei Zhang and victory could open the door for further huge fights.
Wilder’s relationship with Hearn has not always been the best with the American puncher a longtime rival of Anthony Joshua, who is guided by Hearn.
Despite trading verbal barbs for many years, Wilder will put that to one side this summer and he’s spoken about his current relationship with Hearn.
"It’s a beautiful thing. Over years of back and forth, disagreements and different little things, but life brings about a change and change is always good," said Wilder when speaking to Boxing News.
"When you look at it, you have to look at the landscape of right now, and you’ve got some interesting guys like the Saudis that are in there, changing everything about boxing.
“The way we promote it, the way we line up fights, and all those different things. Why not have the chance of being able to work with each other?”
