The welterweight division could be set for a huge fight following Errol Spence Jr.'s win over Yordenis Ugas this past Saturday.
With the WBA, WBC and IBF titles under his possesion, the next logical fight for Spence would be to face WBO champion Terence Crawford in an undisputed clash.
WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, who is involved in an undisputed fight of his own against George Kambosos Jr. on June 5, spoke to The DAZN Boxing Show about Spence's performance against Ugas and was impressed by the display despite the long layoff.
"Errol went in there and he looked really good, especially after the layoff that he had, the injuries that he suffered," Haney said.
"He came back better than he left, I was actually surprised.
"I knew he would be a little rusty at the beginning, but he went in there and he was only rusty for maybe two rounds and then he picked it up and he looked great."
Just the mere mention of Spence vs. Crawford by Ak and Barak was enough to generate excitement for Haney who struggles to pick a winner for this particular contest.
"I love that fight, it’s a great fight for boxing.
"I like Terrence, I like Errol, may the best man win.
"I can’t pick a winner; I just hope the best man wins and I really want to see the fight get made, more importantly, and see them two go at it."
