Undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney believes the weight of both Gervonta 'Tank' Davis and Ryan Garcia will be the decisive factor when the pair meet in Las Vegas on April 22.
The fight, which will be shown in multiple regions on DAZN and DAZN PPV, will bring the boxing world to a standstill and while many are seeing Davis as the favourite to get his hand raised, Haney believes Garcia does have a shot at overcoming one of the sport's hardest punchers.
"Ryan has a shot." Haney told The DAZN Boxing Show.
"‘Tank’ is much more proven, much more experienced, but Ryan is hungry. He seems like he’s got the right attitude to win.
"But we’ve got to see if that weight plays a role, when ‘Tank’ hits Ryan, how Ryan stands up, but also how ‘Tank’ stands up when Ryan hits him."
The fight will be contested at a 136lb catchweight, with a strict 10lb rehydration clause, something which fans and experts believe could work against Garcia who has recently fought at 140lbs.
