Shakur Stevenson is already targeting the lightweight division's biggest names after knocking out Shuichiro Yoshino on Saturday night.
One of those Stevenson is eager to face is the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney and after beating Yoshino, called out the man with all the belts at 135lbs.
When asked by The DAZN Boxing Show about Stevenson's challenge, Haney revealed that he was glad to see one of the world's best express their desire to share the ring with him.
"I’m happy that he [Shakur Stevenson] called me out," Haney began.
"He’s supposed to call me out. I say I’m the man in the weight class, I say I am the man with all the belts which is true, then what’s wrong with another competitor calling you out?"
If Haney and Stevenson were to meet for the undisputed 135lb title in the near future, it would reignite a rivalry that stretches back to their teenage years with both men often sparring against each other. But while Stevenson is quick to claim that he got the better of his rival, Haney believes what happened in the past is irrelvant.
"The last time we sparred, I was 16 and he was 17," Haney said.
"The sparring was back and forth. There were times when he got the better of me, there were times when I got the better of him.
"What you did when we were kids, it’s got nothing to do with what we do now."
Haney returns to action on May 20 when he defends his undisputed lightweight title against Vasiliy Lomachenko in Las Vegas.
