Carl Froch couldn't have wished for a better end to his professional boxing career.
The former unified super middleweight champion knocked out George Groves in front of a sold-out Wembley crowd and rode off into the sunset, but this led to some fans wondering whether Froch's retirement came at the wrong time in his career.
Speaking in Q&A for the DAZN Boxing Twitter account, Froch believes he made the right decision at the right time when it came to bringing down the curtain on his career.
"Nah, I didn’t retire too early," Froch said.
"I dragged the last couple of fights out of me against Groves.
"I was ready to retire after the Mikkel Kessler rematch when I won that. Then I got two big fights with Groves.
"I’m very grateful for my career.
"I retired after the Wembley win, quite a few people at that one, it was a big event.
"I got the result I thought I’d get, so for me to bow out on the crest of that wave was amazing and very privileged."
