Tommy Fury’s reward for defeating Jake Paul in their grudge match last month is a ranking of 39 with the WBC in the cruiserweight division.
The governing body had stated that the winner of the bout would receive a place in the top 40 and that has proven to be the case with Fury receiving his rating.
Fury had to climb off the canvas in the contest’s final round to secure a split decision victory over the American, and it’s still not confirmed what direction he will go next.
Despite being the recipient of the ranking, it remains unclear whether Fury will look to aim higher and climb up the list.
With his profile soaring, Fury could feature in more crossover fights with a rematch against Paul potentially taking place this summer.
As well as Paul, Fury is also in demand for fights with other YouTube personalities such as KSI and Salt Papi.
