Dillian Whyte asks WBC to force Tyson Fury into granting him mandatory heavyweight championship fight

Dillian Whyte asks WBC to force Tyson Fury into granting him mandatory heavyweight championship fightDAZN
Dillian Whyte is eager for a fight with Tyson Fury, if he gets past Otto Wallin Oct. 30 on DAZN.

Dillian Whyte says the WBC must insist on Tyson Fury making the next defence of his world title against him.

Whyte, who has frequently featured in the higher echelons of the heavyweight rankings for the best part of three years, is still waiting for his first world title shot and has called on the WBC to force a fight between him and Fury.

First, Whyte must come through a tough looking contest on October 30 as he faces Otto Wallin at London’s O2 Arena exclusively live on DAZN.

The durable Swede is known for pushing Fury to the limit when they clashed in 2019 so Whyte will have to be fully focused on his imminent opponent if he’s to secure what would be a lucrative bout with his fellow Brit.

"Fury has the belt. Wilder had the chance to fight me for three years but didn't," Whyte told Sky Sports News

"Hopefully now the WBC forces my position and Fury has no choice. It's a massive British fight, a major fight for Britain.

“Fury is an unpredictable man who might say 'I am done.’ I hope we can make a fight when I get past Wallin but Fury is a difficult guy to plan. I haven't heard a word from him about making a fight."
