Former world title challenger Dillian Whyte was not impressed with Anthony Joshua's unanimous decision win over Jermaine Franklin on Saturday night.
After 12 gruelling rounds, Joshua was awarded the victory on the judges' scorecards, but many hoped he would produce a knockout as he looked to re-assert himself as a major force in the heavyweight division once more.
However, this was not the case in the eyes of Whyte, who told DAZN that Joshua lacked any aggression throughout the fight.
"I don’t think he looked particularly good tonight," Whyte said.
"He seems a bit apprehensive, the right hand is still there and the boxing skills are still there, but the aggression is not there."
Whyte then went onto reflect on his own clash with Franklin last November where he too triumphed on the cards.
"The difference is in the last two rounds I went after Franklin, he didn’t," Whyte claimed when comparing his performance against Franklin with Joshua's.
"I’ll always have a go, win, lose or draw, I’ll have a go."
Whyte is a potential opponent for the former world champion's next fight, which is scheduled to take place in the summer. The pair first met in a thrilling matchup as professionals in December 2015 which saw Whyte stopped by Joshua in the seventh round.
