Dillian Whyte will face Otto Wallin on October 30 at London’s O2 Arena exclusively live on DAZN .
“The Bodysnatcher” is desperate for a world title shot and has consistently called out Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, but his immediate focus will now switch to the tough Swede who gave Fury a hard night back in 2019.
Whyte, who has traded wins with Alexander Povetkin in the last 15 months, cannot afford any more slip ups as he pursues the sport’s biggest prizes. Wallin, who’ll have his own world title ambitions, has rebounded brilliantly since his loss to Fury with wins over Travis Kauffman and Dominic Breazeale.
The Whyte fight will see Wallin return to the highest level of heavyweight boxing following his gutsy effort against Fury two years ago. With the belt picture set to become clearer in the next couple of months, the victor between Whyte and Wallin will be in prime position to challenge whoever is holding the glory.
Matchroom Sport Chairman Eddie Hearn said: "Matchroom and DAZN's stacked upcoming schedule just got even better with these three blockbuster additions.
"First up on October 16 four-weight king Mikey Garcia returns to action in a difficult assignment against Barcelona's European Super-Lightweight Champion Sandor Martin in Fresno, CA.
"'The Body Snatcher' Dillian Whyte returns home to The O2 on October 30 to put his Interim WBC Heavyweight World Title against Otto Wallin - the man that came so close to inflicting a loss on Tyson Fury.
"Then on December 18 Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora go to war again at Manchester Arena. Catch it all live and exclusively around the world on DAZN."
Full card details will be released soon.
