The two heavyweights are set to get back in the ring in Gibraltar after months of delays.

Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte are set to get back in the ring after months of delays to put on their rematch for the WBC interim championship.

Whoever wins should be in line for a title fight with the winner of Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua, assuming they do not ultimately vacate their belt.

Whyte and Povetkin fought back in August as part of Mathcroom's summer Fight Camp series and Povetkin delivered a suprise uppercut knockout, leading Whyte to immediately activate his rematch clause.

A rematch was expected in November, and then January, but an extended coronavirus bout for Povetkin - something that Whyte doubts - and then the suspension of boxing due to the wider coronavirus pandemic, put the fight back until March, with a fight now set to take place in Gibraltar.

The undercard will feature Ted Cheeseman vs. JJ Metcalf and Chris Kongo vs. Michael McKinson in their own title fights.
